They should have ended the movie after the 2nd act. The big ending just felt like someone from the studio said "it's a super hero movie, you have to blow a bunch of shit up. Those are the rules."

That’s so true. I didn’t comment on this in my review to keep it short but the movie felt like 2 ideas: a more grounded detective Batman story and a studio exec wanting a more conventional super hero flick.

I agree with both of you...I'm all for the aspirations toward Greek tragedy, but then it has to turn into the inevitable and all too predictable Krash!Bang!Kapow! which I only think really works with Adam West.

Yea. Idk to me it was all a mishmash of styles. I even sensed some Christopher Nolan vibes in the movie.

Pretty close to my own view of the movie. Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman was the strongest element -- kind of reminded me of the early 2000s Catwoman comic that Ed Brubaker wrote.

I think so too. I actually liked her as CW more than I liked Pattinson as BM. Pattinson > Affleck though 😂😂

Batman v. Superman was an abyss from which no Batman or Superman could possibly return.

First person I've found that even remotely agreed with my take on this one. Good but not perfect.

I know! I myself haven’t met a similar opinion. People either loved it, and many did, I think, or they hated it.
